The Cottage is set in the beautiful grounds of our unique Grade 2 listed Georgian home. Woodbank was built in the 1790s as the Drawing Office for the world famous engineer Thomas Telford as he constructed the nearby Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen Canal.
The Cottage at Woodbank enjoys complete privacy from the main house and is situated in a peaceful, rural position. Even so, it is within two minutes walk of the World Heritage Aqueduct, the Trevor Canal Basin and the village of Trevor. Just three miles away lies the picturesque town of Llangollen which spans the River Dee. Llangollen hosts the annual international Eisteddfod and is a popular tourist destination with wonderful walks in the Welsh Hills, canal cruises, the steam railway and numerous outdoor activities.

This tastefully converted, detached two bedroom holiday Cottage on one level, offers delightful accommodation and an outside patio area, barbeque, covered parking and play area. The Cottage is ideal for couples and young families and has a double and a twin bedroom. The Cottage is dog friendly and we welcome up to 2 pets. There is an electric vehicle charging point (at cost).

We always try to be accommodating about our guests’ travel arrangements but as a guide we would prefer arrivals after 2 p.m. and by 10 p.m. Departures by 10 a.m. There is no smoking at The Cottage.
